Today marked the first day in this journey that I officially got caught in a downpour. When I left the house I could see pastel colors in the sky. As I rounded the corner to get to the water, the skies opened up, and the sky turned grey and miserable. Not a fun ride back home, and even less fun peeling freezing, soaking wet clothes off.

Day 1 on this journey had a rocky start! My bike tires needed to be pumped, proving I really need to exercise more than I was. It was overcast and rainy, which made for a rather unimpressive first sunset! Here's to 2013 and all the miles to be ridden and beautiful sunsets to be seen!
